Are you currently using Windows Server and/or SQL Server 2012/2012 R2?
Please be aware that Windows Server 2012/2012 R2 has officially reached its end of life as of 10th October 2023.
Windows Server 2012, which was released in October 2012, celebrated its tenth year of service last year but reached its mainstream end-of-support date over three years ago on 9th October 2018.
Additionally, Microsoft SQL Server 2012, the relational database management system, reached its retirement date on 12th July 2022, marking a decade since its release in May 2012.
Here’s something to keep in mind:
After the end of support date, Microsoft will no longer provide technical support or bug fixes for any newly discovered issues that could affect the performance or stability of your servers.
End of support also signifies the end of security updates, potentially leaving your business vulnerable to security risks and compliance issues. It’s worth noting that for many customers, the end of support presents an opportunity to modernize both applications and infrastructure.
We strongly encourage you to consider upgrading to the latest versions in order to leverage the most advanced security, performance, and innovation.
